Read Russia

Some of you may know I have been fascinated by Russian literature, culture and history for many years. I think it might date back to when I first tried learning Russian in, I believe, 1999 or 2000, at the ripe age of 11, when I had a Ukrainian pen pal. Unfortunately, I’ve been so swamped under ARCs and galleys that my earlier interests have taken a back seat (it’s my own fault really!). So I was really chuffed when I discovered the Read Russia website recently.

This website is a wealth of information! I discovered it while looking up the Read Russia prize, which is a prize for the best translation of Russian literature into English. There is so much to read and discover there, from books to cultural events, it’s all so interesting. So, if you’re interested in Russian literature and culture, go have a look!
